Reminiscent of Monet’s Waterlilies series, Hennigan’s Waterlilies painting exhibits a similar soft atmospheric quality. In contrast however, the contemporary work was executed very differently; Hennigan struck the canvas with gloves hands, allowing his fingers and palms to build up the layers of paint gradually and evenly.
